Specialist Resource Provision

Lime Wood Primary School is proud to have a Specialist Resource Provision (SRP), called Tiny Seed, which opened in November 2025.

Our SRP provides places for 12–15 children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) where the primary need is Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or speech, language and communication needs (SLCN). It is designed to offer specialist support within a mainstream school environment, helping children achieve academically, socially, and emotionally.

At Lime Wood Primary, our vision is:
“To deliver a curriculum that is provided by good teachers underpinned by an effective blueprint for excellence in culture, behaviour, attainment and wellbeing – to find the champion in everyone.”

Our SRP reflects this vision by providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where children with ASD and SLCN can grow in confidence and thrive.

What the SRP Offers
  • Tailored Support: Personalised programmes to meet each child’s needs.
  • Inclusion: Opportunities to access mainstream learning, supported by specialist staff.
  • Expertise: Led by a teacher with SEND (ASD) specialism, supported by a skilled team.
  • Social Development: Structured opportunities to build friendships and social skills.
  • Adapted Curriculum: Universal Design for Learning principles to make the curriculum accessible.
  • Smooth Transitions: Support from feeder settings as well as own school through to primary phases.
  • Family Partnership: Regular collaboration with parents and carers.

Working with Families and the Local Offer

The SRP forms part of the Bexley Local Offer, designed to give children and young people with SEND access to high-quality local education and support. By expanding local specialist capacity, the provision helps reduce the need for out-of-borough placements and keeps children learning closer to home.

At Lime Wood, we are committed to working in partnership with families, ensuring parents and carers are actively involved in their child’s journey.
