Ready Steady read-Sponsored Read and Book Fair Raise Over £900 for New School Books

We are delighted to share the fantastic results of our recent reading initiatives. A heartfelt thank-you goes to all the children who took part in our Sponsored Read. Through your commitment and love of reading, you collectively raised an impressive £490—a brilliant achievement!

When combined with the proceeds from our Book Fair, free books, and matched funding, our school community has raised a remarkable £909.86 to purchase new books for our pupils. This is a wonderful demonstration of what we can achieve together, and we are extremely grateful to all our families for their continued generosity and support.

Thanks to these funds—and additional matched funding from Osborne Books—we have been able to order a selection of mindfulness, wellbeing and inclusion titles. These books will form part of our brand-new Wellbeing Room, set to open in January. This dedicated space will offer all children a calm and nurturing environment to read, reflect and enjoy time to support their emotional wellbeing.
